I own an AP1 and my father owns an AP2, and i'm telling you there's nothing that compares to the feel of an AP1. The AP2 is nice and all, but once you drive an AP1 you'll never want to own an AP2 unless you're about a smoother ride quality. If you want a better feeling and handling car, then buy an AP1.

 

i cant watch that link at work but if its the link i think it is, its the BMI with tsyuchia and wakisaka racing. the F20c woulda have won if it had a better start still a close race though.


i prefer AP1 over AP2 as well.

02-03 is the way to go. Has the better ECU, better interior, glass rear window, better suspension, better motor, etc. There really should be no question about it. AP2s are just stupid.

 

As far as looks wise, I prefer AP2, but as far as performance AP1

 

New bumpers are cheap. New engine, suspension, interior, etc etc... not so much.

 

Sounds like AP1 02-03 is what I want! KKB is around $1800 right??

I love my '03, I wouldn't want an ap2. I have an ap2 front end on my car and it looks great because its suzuka blue. I think the ap1 bumpers look better on the black/white cars though. I like the '03's the best but I want '00 tail lights so I don't have that chrome ring inside them and I like the '00 interior better because it doesn't have the silver rings and nets in it. And the dash has the black cluster surround instead of the greyish one. Look at them all and then decide. Come out next time we meet up...

 

lots of people dont care the ap2 upgrades too much but i had the ap2 headlights and taillights on my AP1 and liked it very much
