Two of my friends a couple of years ago had their Integras stolen. Both times by a couple of spanish guys in a champagne colored accord 94-97 body style. They pushed started one of the cars and the second car they tried to push start, but dumped it further down the neighborhood. Only took the wheels and seats. Both times the neighbors watched them do it and did not call the police.

It is probably the same group of people doing this.

Luck really doesn't have anything to do with it. It's not like you buy a lottery ticket for it. If you don't have the income for both, you can either spend all your money on your car, or you can save it for a house/apartment with a garage. When I speak of priorities, this is what I'm talking about. I've noticed that alot of people opt for the former, then complain when their shit gets stolen. That's what I find funny.

As for your car getting stolen at 7-11 while it's running, who does that with a nice car? And yes, if the thieves really want your car, they will find a way to steal it. There is no 100% steal proof method, but common sense can take you a long way.

just hire a bunch of angry midgets to stand guard...that will usually deter many people from messing with your car.

Well, if you want to get technical, there's no such thing as luck, there's a reason for everything. But what I was talkin about was that I still live with my parents and we don't have a garage, so we have no choice but to park on the side of the street, and I can't afford an extra $105 a month for a storage unit, let alone rent or payment on a house when I'm going to school full-time, but I have found something lately that will keep my stuff much more secure.

It depends on a whole bunch of things, they tried to break into my car at the metro station, the alarm was what scared them off. But I don't take it there anymore. Since then i'm just more careful and I just don't believe in putting so much into my integra anymore. Time for something new and improved anyway!
