Everyone forgets that we have the Gestapo in Va Beach, where racial and social profiling is alive and well. It will never get as bad as Norfolk or NN becasue of the high property values, therefore the high property taxes, and THEREFORE the huge number of police. I live in Green run at the corner of Lynnhaven and S. Independence, Which I admit is a nicer part of green run. I have great neighbors, with exception of one house, and I never have had a problem. Oh, and I also own a .357 Magnum (8-shot revolver....WHEEE!) and when I moved in, it was in my hip holster in plain view all day. Nobody even looks at my house.
Says the guy thinking Va beach is a bad area and thinking the Gestapo is around.....
I'm still loling at people that think Va Beach is bad. I've never once been in a place in Va Beach that I thought was "scary" or that i wouldnt want to travel in alone at night.

When did you move there?
I lived in City Center all last year and I swore it was a paradise within Newport News, but once I hit Jefferson I was in a different world.
I work in the Denbigh area and its completely different than where I am now (CNU). I was unloading a truck out back earlier this week and some random
dude walks up to my private dumpster (which is locked, by the way) and starts shaking on the doors trying to get it open. He moves on to the next one
and continues down the row. When he first walked up with trash/etc. in his hands I thought he was just throwing it away, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
