Move somewhere else. You took on a responsibility when you got the dog, now live with your decision.

I've been around this dog a lot, its an awesome looking and behaving dog. If you cant keep the dog thats going to suck but i would have to go with the dude saying posting a personal ad. You would know best who would work well with your own dog, and if someone you dont like comes to buy then tell them to beat feet and get the hell out. Shelters going to be hard for your dog. Really sucks man. I love Jack!

Tough to place big dogs.....Try the Pit Bull Rescue for help with adoption....

http://www.pbrc.net/

There is a Virginia chapter...

http://adopt-a-pit-bull.1-800-save-a-pet.com/

We adopt Rottweillers, same problems getting or giving them away due to a bad rap, they are great loving dogs, Pits are too.

Send me pics and more info. I have a house with a huge fenced in yard in york county. I will foster him long term if needed on 2 conditions.

1. He has to be social with humans and other dogs. I have a 6 year old in the house and 3 other dogs.

2. He cant be overly shy or too skittish or it would be hell for him here. I have 2 very active GSD's that would own him if thats the case.

petfinder.com is a rescue/pound website.. lots of pitbulls on there.

I looked and looked for a Golden to rescue but I ended up just buying one out of the paper

If I were you I would def place an add in the paper...just state that if things don't work out to contact you before throwing him in a pound. This way you are at least doing something for now. Good luck!
