unless you live in hampton, dont talk bad about it. Ive lived in hampton my whole life and my neighborhood backs into buckroe. buckroe is one of the more "ghetto" parts of hampton and i have NO problem walking down there at nights. I went to the most "ghetto" high school in hampton and i felt 100% safe there. Yes there is a high poverty level in hampton but that doesnt mean the peolpe are bad. Hampton has consistently had one of the lowest crime/murder rates in the country. It was an All-American city back in 2004 for what it is.
I would choose Hampton to live in over any city in South East VA.

iv lived in foxhill for about 20 years and now live in buckroe, and neither my roomate or i have had any problems with our neighbors. (though it was funny that my roomates brother walked out one night to smoke a cigarette and saw one of our neighbors getting fucked on the hood of her car was comical)
and i love living here.
i also worked for pizzahut as a driver for a year and a half, neither i or the store got robbed. there was one driver that almost got robbed in the trailer park by langley speedway.
and i never had any problems driving out to shell road at 1am

people in downtown everywhere look at me wierd all the time. puertorican that doesnt wear the flag everywhere, has clothes that fit, AND speaks english.

They obviously have no idea about hampton. It's not all peaches and cream there either. My GF lives in an apt complex in hampton where you have to be buzzed up in order to just get into the building. There are police there just about every night and a bunch of hot ghetto mess runnin around every time I go there. I hate stayin the night at her apt because my car is out in the open and I'm afraid someone's going to break in eventually.
