The difference? They're still owned by management companies. Those companies have an agreement with the NRHA to be paid a certain amount of money for the apartments. Whatever the tenants can't come up with, the NHRA pays for.

They'll also do that with houses. I guess the houses are owned by the NHRA, too?

You can stick with yours, but you'd still be wrong.
If your talking about private houses...no they are owned privately and paid by housing choice vouchers (section 8) to the private landlaord. That is not the same as the huge assisted living homes (projects) that are OWNED by the city and have been for years. Your wrong. They are subsidized by HUD.

No, it wouldn't. It would actually make Portsmouth a sewer.

No. Because you can't name one place in P-town that even compares to the McArthur center area and Granby. Granted I've only worked in one area of P-town, but I've also been to a couple of friends' ghetto ass houses in a couple of ghetto ass neighborhoods. All up and down Portsmouth Blvd and all of the connecting streets looks like shit. Stop defending p-town and just accept that it's a shithole.

Norfolk has good and bad as well as portsmouth. My whole point. So i see you have obviously managed to make it to the shitty parts. I dont know who you hang with but maybe your friends should get better jobs and move to the nicer parts or somewhere else. Your right you have Mcarthur and Grandby street. If you think that makes your city a great place to live then please just stop in this debate.

It's not my city. I don't live in either one thankfully. And let's not go judging people based on where they live. My friends are Navy and are stationed on the George Washington which is ported at the P-town shipyard. So kindly stfu on that one mkay pumpkin?

However, yes McArthur and Granby make Norfolk a BETTER place that P-town. When people come to VA to visit, I don't see P-town in any listings as far as one of the hot spots. Only if you like consistent gun play and have a fetish for roberies should you tour P-town. And the only true reason you should be there, other than a job, is you fucking got lost or if you just needed to take a shit on the sidewalk.

I live in a great neighboorhood where the milk man brings beer and the Swedish Bikini Team that lives next door mows the lawn topless
