Get the Rx8. They are kinda slow, but they look damn good and they are new. Screw old cars and "projects." Project cars are for when you have a great daily driver to use.

You do have a point there...i would just like to run more than a 14.5 quarter and a 6.0 0-60 time...but you are right about the new factor

Honestly, if I could, I'd have sold me Evo a long time ago. Sometimes I just can't fathom letting her go, but I really want to move to something luxury and real chill. I need some heated/cooled seats and navigation. I've been done with the speed game for a while now. But since I still have her, I still play a little.
RX-8s are notorious for flooding in cold weather. that doesnt sound too reliable to me.
only if you shut it off before it gets to normal operating temp, most rotaries are like that during the winter - the RX-8 is just exceptionally prone to it
but why lease a car? get a loan and at least when you're done you own the car
Where does everyone get off calling SR20's unreliable. There just as reliable as any other factory Nissan motor.
I'm not saying the motor itself isn't reliable, but I do feel that doing a swap hurts the reliability of the car. It's always possible that something wasn't done right. As is with factory cars too, however, you can bring it back to them.
