DSM Full Boost Problem.......
Car has been running fine on my break in tune on dsmlink, at 20psi. But yesterday it started to break up or kinda die, shake the motor, I didnt let it do it to much dont want to harm anything(if its not already done) so I pushed the clutch in. It drives fine under anything under my full boost setting which is 20psi. I have a PTE 50trim internal gate w/external dump, Greddy type-R bov, and greddy profec-B spec-II boost controler. Its a def boost problem but everything looks fine. It acts like it builds it all up and cant handle it anymore. ????
having problems with the plug on the pump. Its got a Aeromotive AFPR, set at 45psi, Its weird because it was doing fine but yesterday it started doing it, I changed the plugs because Im running really rich right now and thought plugs could be fouled out, but still did it tonight.
It's very possible that the ECU has learned a particular set of parameters very well and isn't tuned very well any more at that boost level. Reset the ECU and see what happens.
It's also possible that if the outside temp changed, the tune is different enough from the extra air density that it's going into an overboost cut. Is there any temp difference (day or night) between when it's acting up and when it isn't?

sounds like you need to check for boost leaks. post up your dsmlink logs. better yet do that on the dsmlink forum. www.dsmlink.com/forums

I wish my laptop worked with my dsmlink
I got a dyno appointment set up tuesday at Promotion Tuning, so I will double check everything and then again before I head up there. I hope it just in the tune.

Dave at promotion will set you straight if its anything to do with the tune, I would check for boost leaks in the meantime.
LoL dave is the man, he came down all the way to my place to set me up with the break in tune. I know he will get it all good if Its a tuning problem. Were should the main places I look for boost leaks? (might be a dumb question

Here is a decent write up on what and where to check for leaks
