If it were me, I'd want every advantage I could get. Traction is an important advantage.

Exactly.

High horsepower street cars have really trouble from a dig. Even these AWD cars are spinning.

Any big race between street cars with high horsepower usually allows anything they need to get traction on the street. Without this, the match isn't a good determinant of the fastest car.

I would never go call out some stock car, just like the morons that trailor out their full blown race cars and try to call out my car that I drive further in one day then there car has been in driven in 3 years. My car is set up to be driven on a regular basis, several days a week, and make it's power consistantly with minimal breakage. I expect to find the same in an opponent on the street. If you roll up on a trailor and I drive in you better not try to talk a word of shit to me. I don't care about tire as long as the car is built to the same class of car mine is. Get my point? There are guys up here that have 5.80 1/8th mile cars that they bring out on a trailor and try to call out street cars like mine, and it's pathetic. Their shit would fall apart if they tried to drive it as much as I drive mine. Run what you brung but don't call out cars that are of a lower class.
Oh ok. I understand and agree completely except for one thing. These "street" cars are still street cars either way, whether trailored or not. Street to me is defined as street legal. With high horsepower comes high chances of breaking stuff. I trailor my very reliable slightly modified BMW to the track. Why take a chance? The car still drives like a champ any other time. See what I'm saying?

A street race is just that. You find eachother and pull up next to em. Then roll.
So, since it is a street race, you should be able to do a roll also to even it up..

But yes Ben, I agree. You could just take it to the track... Saying no VHT or limiting tire because it is unfair to the AWD car isn't a good compromise and is just as hypocritical. You're only giving the AWD car more of an advantage.

Roll is fine, no problems with that. And I agree, its giving one car or another a disadvantage b/c of no prep is not cool. But if its going that far, then it should be a track experience. however I realize, in places other than the 'noke, tis a diff story.

Yeah these guys just prefer to shut down an entire stretch of the highway for their race.

Yeah like I said I agree witht he street car thing.. some of these guys bring out stuff that obviously can't go more than 1/4 mile though. I would trailor my car long distance too, but i mean when you don't even have a fucking alternator on your car or a trans or motor that can't cruise over 30mph take that shit back home or the track because it's not a street car. If you can drive your car to the local supermarket it's a street car. If you have to have a trailor follow you 10-20 miles down the road go fuck yourself because you don't have a street car. I have driven my car to Ohio, Marlyand, Chicago, etc. If you can't go 15 miles on the street fuck off.

Hahaha yeah exactly

You think the type of guys hanging around go mart could afford to put $2k cash on a race? No, and if they could, its drug money and they're idiots.

Yeah thats where Mark (s4) does most of his races, looks like a crazy stretch, not sure how they actually manage to close that strip down long enough to race though.

Fact: Most of their cars aren't worth 2k.
