I was saying people give children too much credit in thinking that someone at that age would truly understand the dangers of what he/she was eating and someone would be a smug jackass and simply say "oh well, should have known better".

What does any of this have to do with Iraq or Politics or Gangs or the fate of the free World? Absolutely nothing. I didn't know you were an Anthropologist also because you apparently know alot of things about alot of different cultures and even all about gang culture in the United States. It's news to me that getting put in the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries is "a little rough housing". You really can't be serious when you try to somehow argue that kicking a child 200 becomes an appropriate means of discipline. I just don't understand the extremes. So you have to beat the crap out of your son or else he wont be worth anything in this world? Thats a pretty big claim. Seriously, what does your son being "tough" have to do with whether or not he will "make a difference"? What kind of difference will he make? Lobby to repeal laws against child abuse?

the problem is he is 11 fucking years old, she is a trained, "3rd" degree black belt, she should know what is and isn't to much, he was a child. I trained in japense ju jitsu and grapling, and we did similiar endurance training, yet i was 16 years old. This lady took advantage of the kids weak will, plan and simple.

 

He may be a kid, but he's not a CHILD. He's more pre-teen than child...

I still think that it's fine and dandy to kick a kid if you're teaching him unarmed combat.

We used to lay on our backs and we had a partner stand over us and we dropped the medicine ball onto our stomachs to harden are abs for kicks... i couldnt sit up or move for weeks. I was 10 doing this... I think she might have kicked him too hard there is no doubt and frankly thats just stupid on her part to even do that. But...... I can see where she and the kid were coming from. It was a stupid idea of a "challenge" on her part and the 11 year old is stupid for letting himself get kicked 200 times to the point of internal bleeding.
