Default Car will not start/turn

Just bought a used 95 Civic with an LS swap. Parked it in the garage today, and when I went to start it again, nothing happened. When I turn the key, there's a very low whining/straining noise, and nothing else happens. No spark or anything. Any idea what could have gone wrong? I didn't mess with any engine components.

Electronics work fine. Cluster lights and headlights turn on. I'll check the fuses for the hell of it, and the grounds also.

Bad ground at engine, wire off of the starter solenoid, bad main fuse in fuse box under hood, bad ignition switch, I can go on and on. Get a volt meter and find where the circut is bad. jump from battery to solenoid (under hood) to see if starter works. ??? Simple electrical diagnostic!

Oo that sounds fun. What exactly does that do?

Update: got the car to start. Rolled it about four inches, and tried starting it, and it started right up. Only problem now is that I have to give it a couple of good revs to keep it at idle, or else it'll die again. Does that sound like a starter?

Sounds like faulty ignition.
No spark, keep revs or else will die, all other electronics work.
It happened to me on my built GSR

using stock ignition?
Yes, we all know Honda's Ignitions are God-like, but I've gone threw a few of em on my build.
