Shelor opens April 4th.
when i go some where to t-n-t, i usually go to vmp in petersburg or i go to masondixon in hagerstown,md.
both of these tracks do really good in the track prep for
t-n-t days. as both tracks are NHRA 1/4 tracks. also your car will have to pass their tech safety rules....

if 11.49 or faster you have to have a 6 point roll bar and they will check to make sure its legal.
if faster than 11.99 must have tranny shield.
if running 10.99 or 135 mph which ever comes first you have to have a 10 point roll cage. if you need a cage in the car your required to have a window net. if you have to have any type of roll bar or cage you are supposed to have 5 piont quick release harness and they are dated and they check their date...
if you run 9.99 or the battery is not in factory location must have kill switch. i have my battery in the back of my car in a box and i have seen them shaking my car pulling on it to make sure it was mounted good enuff..
i have had them check my engine mounts. they will check to see if you have race wheels studs. i have had them check to make sure no oil or what ever is leaking from the car. but it is all safety things to keep every one safe and back home in one piece..

anyway,VMP is the best track i've been on(which is what i think Atlas meant).as said above though, any major track is going to be strict on ET/MPH rules, and they're going to kick your ass out after your first pass,Andrew

Chris
i go almost every fri. and i never saw the blue MR2. hope to see alot of you on the 11th. Tonight will probally suck its raining right now. And the track will probally slippery as hell until some rubber gets put down.
Yeah that's what I meant. I'm "guessing" it's anywhere from 125-128 on pump gas in the 1/4 judging by the "track time" list and comparing 1/8th mile stuff, but bench racing sucks.
I doubt I could go much faster than my previous mph (ET could be drastically improved if I could stick) on my current setup. That run was pretty lean, and knocked a good bit so maybe there is room for improvement. My stupid ass showed up there that night with no wideband, and I just let her rip. I didn't make any adjustments to the fuel trims as I had no idea on the a/f's.
I think it's time to play with race gas, now that I have a wideband. Maf overrun concerns me but I can tune using fakemaf enabled and adjust the VE through dsmlink.
Even then, I still have no cage, and 1/4mile tracks tend to be even more strict. What tracks prep well on test and tune btw? Any suggestions?
I found that my airflow is being underestimated the other day during a log, so my lb/min should increase to what it really is once I adjust. I've got spring fever! The car is running great and coming together which turns me away from wanting to sell.

why not just go to Bristol, if you run fast there you will run fast anywhere? When I went they prepped well the only issue was that the water box was overflowing.
