really dont know. never hurd of this before. you would think the disk will slip before it will strip the inupt shaft hole. i never really beat on it, i was just driving it around one day and it started making a grinding noise. ill be making some calls for sure tomorrow. i know this is a "race" item but that seems to be a product failure to me. im just glad it was the disk and not the input shaft itself im getting really good at droping a dsm tranny, ive got it down to about an hr now lol.

It's more common than you might think. Especially on strokers where there's really bad harmonics. Usually it's due to one of a couple of things. Either disc was installed backwards and didn't properly engage the splines, or, over-extending the fingers and causing disc contact, or, a non-flat mating between the motor and trans. Since the discs are unsprung there is nothing to absorb flex of a not 100% straight input shaft engagement, so it's very rough on the splines of the hub. Uusually happens when tranny bolts start to come loose. Also, I'm not sure when you bought yours or what kind it is, but the very early quartermasters were prone to this before a design change.

What little I have dealt with ExtremePSI, It has been nothing but fantastic, I can't remember the guys name I spoke with, but he was really nice and very straight forward, I ask of nothing more from a vendor.
