Thank you, my friend had a ls tranny on a gsr, and it was fine for the street. This guy even has a 4.9 final drive, I would not come off a tranny like that.
In this guys case, keep your good working transmission. They are hard to come by used, and most have been dogged to shit. Atleast you know this ones history, and know it that its good and not missing gears, etc.

No, not necessarily. I believe he auto-x's this vehicle. Higher, longer duration revs on stock rod bolts? Not to mention LS/VTEC Untuned is not good, so he'd have to get some money for a tune. The VTEC conversion kit, a Vtec head...arp Headstuds, new timing belt/water pump. Not necessarily cheaper.

Na, this car is a track car not our AutoX car that is my dads CRX. After playing with the gear calculator on Mfactories site the LS tranny with the 4.9 and a stock GSR tranny are super close. I just put $1000 in the tranny so if the whole swap with mods is only worth $1000 I can part it out and make a few more bucks. That beaing said it seems cheaper to keep what I have and do the cams and tune and spend the rest of the money on track time. Thanx for the input.
