I'm with the OP. Its easy for all you losers to say that its wrong, but if it saved you HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of dollars out of your own checking accounts, you might think differently.

Personally, I would just take it to the dealership tomorrow, and dont waste your time disconnecting it.

In your signature you have two cars. Why cant you drop the one needing repairs off to get worked on while driving the other one? Or if that car isn't drivable then just get a rental car for a day while they do the work.

Then maybe you need to reexamine how you're doing business?

Let's see....

Take time to do what's right but taking time off from work and getting the car worked on or do something illegal and get the same result

I modified my Cobra about 2 days after I got it basically tossing the warrenty out the window. If you can't afford to play then stay off the swingset

whats the difference on shutting down the speedo compared to switching the cluster. if you switch the cluster and not tell anyone is basically the same. because i know there is people that put like a si cluster in a dx. i put an ex cluster in my dx but i spun the speedo with a drill to get my miles to match my old cluster. but some dont and they dont say anything.

YEA i think ide do that, some people simply dont have the time or cant take the time due to say "dick head bosses" to do such a thing as just go to the shop.

you seem to be the only person spazing over this. not trying to hate on you but come on hows this much worse then ppl doing cluster swaps so they can have a tach.

do what u gotta do dude. as long as your not trying to fuck anyone you have my blessings. especially on the whole warranty thing. i say this also because ive been fucked by the jeep dealer for this exact problem. i talked to them told them i didnt have the time that early in the week to have my axles seals replaced my trans serviced and my clutch checked out an i was 120 miles from my warranty. they agreed sence i talked to them about it over the phone to let me use my warranty that friday when i got a day off and when i got there i was 60 miles over and they acted as if they had no clue what i was talking about. and said there was no manger by the name of Jim Carpen at that location

EDIT: this could save you big bucks fuck the nuts who are to scared to break a few rules now and then to make things happen. its your wallet not theirs. you have the info you need now go for it

Knowing that VAdriven doesn't support illegal activity, how is this still here? Anyways, it is illegal in every way to change your odometer. Either make time to get it fixed or get a new car. There is always the possibility of "after dealer" warranties. You pay so much a month and they cover work on your car. Dont know how much it is. Might wanna look into it. It sucks but the dealer doesn't car if you have to work. sorry man.
