i saw some civic coming down my road a few days ago. he was about a football field away and all i could see was two bright lights coming at me. i couldnt tell what it was til i pulled into my driveway and he passed. it was like 4pm on a clear day. i was like, okay, thats a little much
this whole hid fad needs to go. its a like a fart can for the eyes. so many people dont seem to realize that it does not improve your vision at night at all unless they are in the proper fixture, and aimed. it just throws light everywhere and is dangerous to other drivers sometimes. if you notice on cars that it comes on factory its a perfectly straight line across the horizon, that rarely enters the windows of other cars unless they are right up on you.

I've been high-beamed by people in my Civic but I've been high-beamed in a friend's S2000 aswell.
For what its worth, I have 4300k w/ halogen hi-beams.

BS.... I have stock HIDs and get flashed EVERY NIGHT. This is a common thing with S2000s as I found on S2ki.com and honda-tech. And it certainly does improve your vision, my friend with a 2000 dc4 got HIDs and he said his vision improved dramatically, we both noticed a difference. His gives a good strong beam.
And for the record, if they don't turn off their high-beams, I leave mine on. I have a motherfucker in his caddy flash me as I was approaching a cross-walk, it blinded me and I almost ran someone over.
