Because they can chose whatever price they want to set for the services they offer. If they are competitive with other shops, then good on them. Besides most hourly rates are anywhere from $85-$125.

damn, we are at 76.24/h and get complaints all the time. i could only imagine if we were at $100. Good deal if business stays steady at that rate

 

I work at a dealership and 90-125 is the average rate. I know some of the indy shops are not far from it. However, I don't get that many complaints on the price. Maybe 1 in 30 or so customers

 

See you guys Saturday. Yep the shop rate is 100, but you have to take into consideration "what we are capable of doing"..... Anything.. And to the above comment, no comment.

the 100$ a hour rate is worth it if the work is good and I have to say the work Is well above most I see, I had them install my cutout and the welds were great and they made it fit when I thought there was no possible way it would! I have no problem paying for good work, shitty work that's another story!

However, many people this day and age want the cheapest they can get and they don't understand that you can get what you pay for. In the end, you pay almost twice as much.
