look im in here trying to get advice about my trucks paint job, not palm trees. i already got one of those in my front yard (yes...i really do, got it from georgia), if you wanna talk palm trees, start your own thread about them

I never said I know you personally... I said I’ve been around you on more than a few occasions, and I think you’re a high and mighty ass clown. I have been introduced to you before, I have raced with your son at Langley, both my girl and my brother have worked at the speedway for years, I’ve been in your autocross events, and I’ve been in and had work done in your shop before. Our paths have crossed many times.
I didn’t even mention in my first post (because I’m too lazy for this shit) about either me or my grandfathers separate bad personal experiences with your company.
And as for the "friends" I know that used to work for you... they left cause your pay was shit, and they moved on to better things…. Maybe that’s why your prep works shitty, “you get what you pay for” right?
At least that’s what was said to me(direct quote from an employee) after inquiring as to why after paying $600 I had overspray on my trim and side mirrors (supposed to be left black), muffler, and my wheels/tires.
I think the only person confused here is you…. As to the actual quality of work your shop puts out.
on another note... after hearing nothing but great things about nftuatns' work, and personally seeing tims crx before and after the color change; i hope to get my current project over to him sometime this year. nevermind the fact that his prices are very reasonable.

Well sir, you surely have me at a disadvantage. You seem to know me, but I however, don't have a clue as to who you are. As for referring to you personally, I was simply going by your initial post where you referred to me directly.
If there were problems with either of your vehicles, you should have come to me. If one of my employees in fact told you "you get what you pay for", I'd like to know about it. In my opinion, that's not acceptable. Name please?
As for our pay schedule, sanding personnel aren't highly trained in the first place. Sanding and prep work isn't rocket science. It is rather intricate and some people just can't do it. One of my painters and two body technicians were former sanders. It's a stepping stone position for people that want to get into the business. Honestly, how much can you really train a sander? Sand the chips, prime the chips, sand the car. Isn't that easy enough? If the friends left for better things, great. Hopefully things work out for them.
If you'd care to, give me a PM and kindly let me know who you are. The forums do a great job of keeping people anonymous. I'm not looking at starting a pissing contest with anyone. I also realize I can't meet everyone's expectations or make everyone happy. I do try though. If you had a bad experience with us, I'm sorry and wish you better luck else where. I'll be out of town until Saturday, so I'll be unable to reply till then.

Guy that runs/owns Maaco in Hampton. I went to the same school/grade/classes his son went to. Guys not that bad of a person, probably just has to deal with a lot of upset customers for the work Maaco does. I mean for a $300-400 full car paintjob what can you expect?

I'm Dale's son and i'm quite sure I don't know who you are. That may be because you've stayed at home since college and done nothing to better your life. Honestly find something better to do with your time. If you go to one Taco Bell and you get a bad taco you don't swear off ALL Taco Bells do you??

Well i'm glad you can distinguish us as a reputable shop. There's really no need to argue but when you pull family into this i'm not going to sit back. I don't question your fathers integrity now do i? That would be quite sophomoric of me.

nobody pulled family into nothing...they pulled the owner of a business into this and he decided on his own to comment...
and nobody said a damn thing about integrity...
it just makes the shop look worse than it already does, in vadrivens eyes by having someone trying to talk shit ...the posts your dad made were normal and not angry or anything like telling people to find something better to do...he answered the questions that were asked and responded very professionally.....
