Line Lock w/ ABS Question
Will a line lock mess with the abs? I don't want to buy it then find out that its going to trip the abs system. I'm pretty sure only 2 lines are coming out of the brake master cylinder (front and rear) then it it goes to the abs system. Would I be putting one line lock solenoid in between the bmc and the abs solenoid? Or would I need 2 line lock solenoids in between the abs solenoid and the actual caliper (or would you even do that)?
Well, generally you would put a single line lock on the entire front or rear brake circuit, but with ABS there are individual circuits for each wheel. You would likely have to add a line lock to each wheel you wanted to control, and I don't think it would mess with the ABS system if the car isn't moving. You'd be isolating pressure at the calipers with the line lock, so the ABS system shouldn't have any idea about what the pressure is at the wheel.
I'm just going off the cuff here, it's been a long time since I've messed with this stuff.
