ur right about about the yam not hauling ass at low rpm, but the same is for every newer sport bike... the 600rr doesnt move untill higher in the rpm range same with the gsxr...

u guys are really looking into the rpm thing way tomuch...

edit: spockets work wonders for this problem

yeah im not talking about doing anything fun, im talking if me and a few friends are slowly crusing down the interstate at the speed limit, my bikes does not like the feeling of doing 55 in 6th being down low, vs the 2 600 rr's i usually frequent riding with and used to own one, have no complaints.

and btw, the 600rr's sit right beside me on the r1, if we punch 6th at the same speed till about 100 and like i said my bike does not like being down low in rpms, just daily riding. no speed or fun involved. why i usually cruise a LITTLE over the speed limit.

The low revs and easy power handling of the 600rr and the gixxer make an ideal street bike because you are not having to make it scream to enjoy the bike. This has nothing to do with speed or cornering ability.

i guess if i just look at numbers online i might think like u guys but having been on the bikes them self i have a different look at things

and theres a 07 gsxr600 down stairs that is shit down low in rpms.. like wont even move..my friend has a 05 cbr600rr all stock same thing....
i used to own a 600rr, and i own a R1 now...... i have riden both around town, and i will still stand behind exactly what im saying, no numbers online or anything...... im going off of what i see every day on my bike, and what i saw when i rode my RR.

just saying for a good bike, the RR is very nicely rounded, and homeboy OP should not limit his options to a kawa, or a mr. me 2 bike, like he was originally asking about.

yamahas are GREAT BIKES, as are the honda's hell i was looking at the NEW cbr 1000rr's and debated on one being a new street bike for me, if and when i take the r1 down and turn it into the monster i want it to be.

reply to your edit.

i know this, i have seen the very 600rr walk down 1000cc bikes all because he can ride, and the 1000 slip up just once..... i know exactly what that 600rr is capable of.

We got here because I suggested the gixxer for its nice calm behavior in the lower rev range, as for your other question ufoamin? Don't be silly of course I have ridden those bikes.
