The reason I picked the Hi-Lift brand is because they're waranteed, rebuildable, and even kits with different components that you can add to your jack to make those jobs safer. You definitely should not be jacking your vehicle up by a rock slider with a Hi-Lift jack and changing two wheels and tires at a time... but as long as you realize it's super dangerous, I'm not going to preach to you. I just hope you're using jack stands too.
I've even seen and heard of people using the jack handle on the Hi-Lift's as tie rods when in a pinch trying to limp home.
Again, $65 shipped from Summit... Hi-Lift.. of the 48" flavor. Any bigger would be unnecessary for a Jeep IMO.

nope. i only drive my black one.
i mounted it that day you came over.
first of all the all terrains was the previous owner.... i just put the dura-trac's on a couple days ago.
second, i dont rock crawl with this thing. at all. and have no intention to do so..... so "departure angle" doesnt really bother me.... besides... if i was at that angle where the jack is scraping.... my front tires would be off the ground completely.
and thats funny you say about that jack....if im doing something with that jack that is strong enough to BEND metal that thick then im clearly misusing the jack. and this is my 3rd "torin" jack and i've never had one fail, bend, break, or malfunction on me at all.

Yes sir I agree with you and do believe it's coming. Only a matter of time..
But you got to admit, you lost.
Edit -- I thought better of it and removed it, was pretty funny IMO, but people get butthurt too easily round these parts

and from the way you talk about it.... NO jack (hi-lift or not) is trustworthy.
you may now commence the dak sucking.
