the most i would pay for it is 15k. but i really dont like them so idk. if all the shit is real. and its an "r" then its well worth that. but i dont think any more than that is acceptable.
So if I am understanding you correctly...then an engine made in USA does not have any numbers after the letter on the engine code?

What about if it is made in UK or Japan, any numbers after letter?

Well I don't need to repeat what everyone has already said. But personally, I wouldn't go higher than $12k. Regardless of what mods it has. For $20k you can get something A LOT quicker and nicer than an ep3. I mean you could be looking at g35, 350z, TL, s2k, M3....the list goes on an on

USDM honda motors all have a letter after the engine code ex:b18c5
JDM b series vtec motors do not ex:b18c which is the gsr and type r
UKDM motors also contain the number after the code ex:b18c6 (type r)

Well he stated that the engine was not purchased in the U.S.

Does this integra type r engine add or lower value to it?

they can be purchased through importers and the usual retail for the motor, trans, mounts, ecu, and harness is around 6k. factor in the kpro which costs about 1k and theres probably 7-8k in the swap alone. i still wouldnt buy it though

also when i say integra type r while referring to k series i mean rsx-r

By legit, I don't mean a k20 motor. I mean legit. Paperwork backing it up legit. I don't want the bad juju attached to stolen goods.

QFT, I paid $18k for my 2005 STi a lil over 3 years ago.

OP, you can find a LOT better cars for the money you might spend on this car, I'd get something else.
