My New Time Attack Car Build Thread
Mounted the AFR gauge and oil pressure gauge finally. Used Lexan with a smooth high density black foam backing. I had to make an aluminum frame to hold up the vent and mount the panel too. Picture sucks but it looks pretty sweet in person.
Man i wish i was rich this thread is epic i just found it im new to the forum and wow. That car is absolutley amazing!!! Though my computer doesnt have speakers on it so i cant hear the motor purrr. >.<'' I'm guessing a build like this is exspensive i have only done minor things like sound systems and lighting. Any tips on how to get into racing?? I literally come up with exscuses just to go up to the mountain passes so i can do some high speed driving down it. Whats ur youtube account name so i can look up these vids cause i really want to here this car purr......or maybe is it more of a gargaling wearwolf trex hybrid sound that turns into a banshee when you press on the gass??? lol

Tips on getting into racing? I would tell you what I tell most people, NASA is a club racing organization that also has high performance driving events in which you receive instruction from experienced drivers and racers. This is the most common way to progress as a driver and move up through the ranks.
As my girlfriend said above my name on youtube is DRFTwizard.
cheers,

Thanks man, with thick oil the car makes 400 wheel. It can make more but 400 is more than enough to achieve my goal. Car weighs ~2480lbs with me in it. Still doesn't have a cage though so that's a solid 125lb.
Even with the cage added I think you still have a pretty good power to weight ratio, plus u have the torque to power out of the turns.

My mom used to have an '89 735i back in the day. When I was 16 I'd drive it around and floor it just to watch that gauge move.
