Yeah 3-4 hp really feels like alot.... Sorry I never wasted my time with that pussy shit. The intake cam has very little more lift but quite a bit more duration making them a great cheap uprade when boosted. If you really want to go through all the trouble for a few hp's and then trick yourself into thinking it feels so much faster then go ahead. I went from B16 cams to CTR cams and I swear to god it made me hate honda alittle more... $400 for like 10 hp...

 

i got my cams for free and put in for free. no time wasted nor money wasted. but i also had the injectors, manifold, and cam gears changed.

 

I put CTR cams, ITR throttle body and a ITR intake manifold on all at the same time and I bet I only gained about 10-12 wheel hp in a poor mans Type-R. It sounded alot louder and pulled up to about 8,200-8,500rpm before dying off where the B16 Cams,tb,IM died off around 7,500 rpm.

 

hmm, $400 for 10hp, or $25 for 3-4. I wonder where the bargain is here.

Also if you want to talk about great upgrades i got a set of skunk2 s2's for 400, which are gonna make more power than CTR's, but he asked about gsr cams over obd0 b16 cams so that point is pretty much a totally different topic.

So lets see, you just flat out told him he wouldnt see any benefit at all, compared to two people who actually did the cam swap that are saying yes you feel a significant difference. Maybe next time you shouldn't speak up unless you honestly have the experience to back up what you are trying to say.

Of course some ricer is gonna jump in and say "yeah the 3 hp I made from my $25 upgrade feels amazing!!!" When anyone who actually knows what they are talking about knows you won't even feel it. You don't even know the damn differences, just asume they must be alot bigger and put them in and think you are half a second faster. You must be one of those ricers.... done arguing with you, enjoy 3hp upgrades that you can feel so strongly.

hahaha, i bet all those power improvement were because after whatever cams were installed. a proper valve-lash adjustment followed... im sure thats what netted the power gains, gsr cams might get you 1 or 2 whp.. aint shit

 

i guess im a ricer too then huh? i gained 7whp on the dyno from taking my PS belt off. i drive my car all the time with it on and when i take it off i can tell a difference in my butt dyno and i cant beat a free 7whp upgrade compared to a 400 dollar 10whp upgrade.
