know anyone that has a motor? I would like to put a turbo motor in it but i dont think that you can do that can you? but yea i am gonna get it fixed in a couple of weeks after i get all the parts that i need!

 

you can Buy a turbo, and put it on a new motor, or fix that one.. and turbo it... then you'll have yourself a "turbo motor" gl
O and i saw this eclipse in nc at my other house... wow it was terrible... like a fire. could see smoke 1/2 mile down the road.. was very bad, but Ihope yours isnt that bad... Good luck thou

 

It would prob be easier buying the parts and rebuilding the motor you have. Unless you're planning on spending lots of money, I would yank the motor, machine it, and rebuild it with new pistons/rings/whatever else it may need. Would be the more cost effective. (Around $1200 for maching / parts) Hell you could even build the motor for boost, drive it, then finally drop $3k and get a decent turbo setup.

 

Some one said you can't drop turbo motors in eclipse's that aren't factory turbo, the tranny is on the other side on a turbo motor, but what do I know? I'm just a Honda boy.

 

no mine isnt that bad it just smokes for a lil while then stops but you can smell the oil burning on it thank you

 

Maybe it's something simple? but then again, it's a DSM..
