LS Turbo V. LS/VTEC
the ls block actually has the highest displacement of the 1.8 blocks. im not sure on exact numbers, but i know its higher. also, its the same principle as a mini me. the non vtec blocks with vtec heads produce higher compression and a longer stoke, giving them more torque. ive seen sohc mini mes making near as much torque as stock ls motors. its the same concept with the dohc, only with more displacement and more possibilities. as yes, if you do any sort of frankenstein motor, PLEASE PLEASE build the bottom end. i know from experience that running 11+:1 compression ratios is not a good idea on a stock non vtec honda bottom end. if anything, at bare minimum, get your crank balanced and get new rods and get the block sleeved.

Heat, hey man I didn't even know that was you over Pat's until I saw the Kinesis sticker when you were driving away. Don't want you to think I'm an asshole in real life too, I'm just an asshole on this site. If I'd have known it was you I'd have said hey.
if you want only around 230-250 hp out of that LS just turbo it. dont even fuck around w/ putting a vtec head on it...not worth the trouble. you'd be better off putting that money to upgrading a kit or doing a little bottom end work just to run a little more boost...
