30w oil is great but for assembly, you should have used assembly lube. ASS lube is much more sticky and wont be pressed out as easly leaving dry spots like oil would. if you did a self hone, wipe the walls down with wd40 and a paper towle, shavings might be small, but thats still metal mixing in the oil. wipe the walls then with automatic transmission fluid. Ensure that the torque spec's are correct and remember that be rod bolts are stretch bolts.
