alright alot of this info is great . now for waht parts work the best for this build .

i have read that alot of people / drag car are using the blox, eldebrox and skunk 2 intake manifold . waht is everyone perference on this topic. im not seeing to much of a diff between the 3 except for the price .

blox seems to be the cheapest then skunk2 and elderbrox beeing the most expensive . any feed back from these ? im been reading alot of peole using the blox and porting it out to a bigger flow .

also as far as cams and lifter waht is the perfernce on these ? seens many diff types on this build .

as far as studs ive been readng to go with gsr or arp . the arp seems to be the cheaper of the two with a better hold . but have heard/read that the arp tends to give out after a while but mostly on a turbo build.ay other options out there ?

im leaning to the eagle vtec conversion kit with the arp stud/blots.

listen to RPRacing, Francisco's been there, done that, got the tshirt. Get any head you can find, throw in some ITR/CTR cams, get an IM and call it a day.

b16 and GSR head flow are almost identical fellas- stock to stock. Like what Francisco said, it's what you do to it that will make the difference:

if you are going to buy an intake manifold anyway then the choice is up to you on the head. you can look into honing out the intake manifold so you can put a bigger thottle body on but you dont need nothing that big. hell i think alot of people or using 70mm for there turbo set ups. but i think that is just right for it. if you are going to use it as a daily still then buying a bunch of aftermarket stuff isnt the way to go. i would just get a nice head. nice intake manifold. 310 cc injectors and call it a day. you can hook it all up and have fun. if you want more out of it then pick up some itr or ctr cams and slap them in and you will feel a difference. dont think to hard about it because you will notice a good difference betweeen the two setups.

i would go with a b16a head. have it ported. i would not shave (mill) the head at all because you are going to be pushing the piston into the valve. if you want to mill the head down then you will want to get the intake part of the piston relieved cut. lets say that you take a b16a head and slap it on there and throw some itr or ctr cams in you will hit the piston with the valve. the valves on your motor now is 31mm intake and the b16 is 33mm. so be careful. really main differents between the itr/ctr head compared to the normal b16 and b18 heads is that they come hand ported from the factory and different cams. if you are going to spend money on an intake then get you a skunk2. you can get a factory intake if you want and have it ported on the intake runners and make the plenum smooth. that is what im going to do. then you can have the throttle body ported to match.
