this is the only thing ive read in this thread that makes sense,you guys keep saying Va sucks,Its not Va guys its VA BEACH that sucks. Ive lived all over Va and never had issues like Va Beach,You are so use to getting screwed living there,you say you have to pay to play.lol If you had any idea what they instruct there nazzi cops to do......its like a communist Third Reich there. CONFORM BITCHES CONFORM or we will tax you further.Take that BS to court,I dont care if you make 3x in a day what you will save.its the principle......

 

shit, i bought my ride with tinted windows, have been pulled over a shit ton of times... only one ticket(15 over) but nobody ever said a word about my windows until i put the vinyls on the side of my car... BAM, tint ticket, the cop told me they pulled me over because I didn't have an inspection sticker on my car, which is bull shit because they came from behind me while i was sitting in the turning lane with my signal on. btw...my inspection is on my windshield right where it needs to be. I point this out and the asshole cop goes well, I didn't see it, how dark are your windows? I'm sitting there like fuck... he just bent me over!!! I'm taking it off and I'm hoping that the judge will have mercy, it's chesapeake so we'll see!

 

keep in mind that if you take pictures on your camera you will have to print them out because you are not allowed to bring the actual camera into the court room. I got pulled for an exhaust a while ago and i just put the rear axel back section back on and went to court early, found the cop and had him come outside and visually inspect my car. I am assuming this would be difficult at a larger court like fairfax or va beach because of the shear volume of people there. I got pulled over on 81 in a small town so it was easy to pull the cop outside and have him check out the car. good luck!

 

Exhaust ticket is about $96. When I got mine I was switching out the muffler anyways. I just took before and after pics and brought them in. Found the officer before the court time and showed him the pictures and he waved it. No court cost, no ticket fines. (VA Beach Courts) Just got dismissed. Good luck.

 

I can agree, with the guy that said VA Beach PD doesnt care what plates are on the car. I got pulled over a while ago for exhaust. I have a Ptuning exhaust for the Scion TC and he said it was way to loud. I laughted and said no it wasn't and he must of confused me with another car. He looked at my exhaust (and I have texas plates) and came back and was like nope it was you. Wrote me a ticket, I asked him how can he ticket me for an exhaust when I'm not from here and the car was bought in a state where there are no exhaust laws. He said its simple, you are military but if you live out in VA Beach and not on base you have to comply to Virginia State Laws reguardless what plates or where your from.

So I just paid the ticket, it only happens when a cop is having a bad day. It just pisses me off when your getting a ticket for exhaust and a harley comes rolling threw, a domestic muscle car with straight pipes OR a 36in lifted truck with straight pipes and they dont get pulled over.. Eh guess its just luck of the draw LOL.

Also there is a way around your window tint. But Im not going to say on the forums.. But it is possible to have darker tint that 35% in Va beach and be legal.
