Default DSM fuel pump problem

I installed a new Walbro 255lph fuel pump in my 93 Talon and ran into a snag when installing the new power wire. I wasn't paying attention when tightening the nut down on top of the fuel pump assembly and broke the stud off! Now the nut can't thread on it. I tried soldering it but the solder I have will not stay on the terminal. I made sure to clean the surface that I am soldering the wire to but it still won't stay on. I have attached a pic so that you can see what I am talking about. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I believe I am just going to drill through and run the wire from the pump out the top of the assembly and connect it there. Then I will JB Weld around the wire to seal it all in. This should work, right?

it should work but id use a type of silicone to help prevent leaks better. have you even checked on getting a new assembly for the pump? im not a big fan of rigging stuff. i like having stuff done the right way....but...sometimes you have to improvise

I have it fixed but it does look like I should go ahead and invest in a new assembly. Thanks for the respond
