Dsm Acting up Again Help!!
Okay here i go again well i have a 1991 eagle talon tsi awd and its automatic well i just changed out the tranny maybe 6 months ago and today when i was driving home from work the tranny started slipping or i think it was slipping if i drive it regular the car runs good but if i floor it does not go in gear and the it revs up to red line without shifthing waht can be wrong ??? fuck i hope i dont need a new trany again cause thats allot of work and allot of money !!!
First thing I would check is fluid level. If it,s low, check for leaks before just calling it a bad clutch. Also try new fluid and filter. I have seen a clogged filter cause this as well. Filter should be changed about every 30,000 miles anyway.

Check with the local mitsu sealer to see if your trans has a filter or not, because some auto transmissions use a screen which usually isn't a maintenance item. Drop the trans pan down and clean it thouroughly, watch for any excessive clutch dust, (thick and brown is usually bad) or any metal shavings. Assuming that's ok, put in the new filter and fill the fluid. Make sure the transmission is up to operating temp before trying to get an accurate reading on fluid level, as you will often find hot and cold readings can very up to about a quart. It will probably take around four quarts to fill. Check with the mitsu dealer again about fluid types, as all auto transmissions do not take the same type of fluid. Good luck.
thanks allot ill make sure i do that thanks for the 411 i just hope this fixes my car!
