Default h23 question

What is the difference between the h23 and h22? Is it still a 2.0 vtec motor? What are the specs of a h23?

h23 is a 2.3liter DOHC non-vtec engine. I think h23 is like 160hp and maybe 140tq?

h22 is a 2.2liter DOHC VTEC engine.

No, The H23's are Non VTEC and H22 are VTEC. But you can alway's put a VTEC H22 head on a H23 non vtec block

H23: 160 hp 156 lbft

H22: 195/200 hp 156 lbft

H23 makes it peak torque much lower, 4,500 rpm compared to the H22's 5,250 rpms. The H23 usually puts down a hair more torque than hp to the wheels from the factory, despite the specs..

There is an H23 vtec, from the 99+ Honda Accord SiR wagon in Japan, some seem to have around 200 hp/163tq, others 215 hp/169 tq, and then some at 225 hp..
