Question about TPS
Hey all I gotta replace my tps, I have an h22a but I was wondering do I have to get a TPS for an h22a or can I just get any tps that will fit a prelude?
Thanks in advance.

I dont think it should matter really. All it does is tell your computer where the throttle plate is open. As long as the connection is the same i'd try it.
If im wrong dont hold me to it.

I had the same question up here about a year ago, my h22 hatch had the same problem (sold it before I fixed it) and my h22a1 lude did it too. It just revved from 1k to 3k back and fourth. I unplugged the TPS and it was just at a steady 3k. It was totalled before it was fixed as well.
Technically, it should NOT. TPS are "signal transducers". It converts a position to a respective voltage output to the ECU. So in reality, if the TPS is from a different model or car, the voltage output will be different. However I have seen it work as well using TPS from other cars or models. I think that maybe the voltage difference maybe too minute to make a difference.
I'm using a Mustang 75mm TB/TPS on my integra. But I can get away with it because AEM EMS can recalibrate any TPS.

Well he was right about them not working on all cars. I just tried one and it wouldnt work, couldnt put my foot all the way down on the gas and the volt readings were way off. Unless I'm being an idiot and doing something completely wrong???
