I have a 97 nissan hardbody with a ka24de. I went to the store and when i returned to my vehicle to leave it would not run. The engine would turn over but not start. I had it towed to a shop down the street to get it fixed. When I called the next day they said it started up that evening and morning. I decided to take it home but it wouldnt started when I got there and when it did it only ran for about a minute before cutting off. The shop diagonosed it and said low fuel pressure.

Does this sound like a fuel pump problem or fuel pressure regulator?

 

You can run a fuel pressure gauge to see what pressure you're getting to diagnose it. Or, go ahead and change the FPR since its pretty easy to change and the part is pretty cheap.

 

Check the Fuel Pump relay IIRC the green relays were the ones Nissan had issues with. If it doesnt start jump the relay, if that works replace it.
