will upgrading to a bigger intercooler affect the performance of my car negatively or positively right now i have a small front mount intercooler ( i've heard it will give you more torque) feedback would be great thanks

 

depends on the amount of power/boost you are trying obtain...

 

you always need to worry about pressure loss and efficiency, like beast said, if you are trying to run massive boost, a larger intercooler with a better cooling rate and little pressure drop will be your friend, if you only plan on running like 15 or less psi, no point in having a huge intercooler cause youll only get more lag from the pressure loss of a bigger intercooler...........

 

Bigger I/C is usually good for cooler intake air, and less internal pressure drop, but will usually have more lag because the internal volume is larger.. That's the short answer..

wit a bigger intercooler depending on design you may get a pressure drop..other then that it will be positive..bigger intercooler you will have more cooling area..cooler intake temps..how much boost you runnin??oh and by mine,i have a nice intercooler for sale!!
