Does any know how to replace a motor in a talon?
Hmmm, well it could be an exhaust leak, like the video you gave a link to, that was obviously a bad exhaust leak lol..
If the leak is bad enough it might cause running problems. i remember you were talking about re-doing the exhaust/downpipe, did you try to do this yet? Just seeing if you might have created a leak

I see. You got on a car that you knew already had a different issue without getting it looked at. lol.. well it's a good thing you already had another motor fot it that you were planning on putting in there.
Sounds like you either dropped a valve, or spun a rod bearing. My buick did the same thing when the motor blew. You COULD have been one of the many that have just experienced crank walk and the bottom end is toast. Swapping the motor in sa DSM is like swapping a motor in pretty much any other car: disconnect axles, unplug sensors, remove exhaust, remove piping, support motor w/ cherry picker, unbolt motor mounts, pull motor.
yea thats reason i really wasnt worried bout the white smoke or anything like that. i had another one to put in it if it went and it went so now i need to put this one in there.

No, just take off o2 housing and disconnect downpipe from it, i dunno about clearance so it might be easier to just take the downpipe off.
