I dont know for sure but I heard its not a good idea to replace the hard lines with braided lines because even braided lines will flex a small amount under braking pressure. meaning the more hard lines you replace with the braided lines, the softer your pedal will be.

I know that I have seen some cars with all braded lines at the master cylinder running all the way to the calipers but I am not sure if they did it to the back. But I do see you point.

And yes you are right you will need the dash but I would figue that is a given. lol
