edit- nvm. i found the owner's manual on the site. thanks for prompting me to check there... sunrise didn't figure it was important for me to have an owner's manual.

i have an 09 r6 as well, my fans kick on at about 215. bike gets pretty hot around the legs at that temp.

i have a question for the op though... does yours have a noticeable ticking noise from the engine, like lifters or injectors? i've done some research and apparently it's completely normal and harmless and yamahas are notorious for it... it kind of gets on my nerves a bit. only complaint i have about the bike.

and go figure my e36 m3 also suffers from a 'normal' lifter noise common to the make and model. i sure know how to pick em...

yeah that's the word i got from the r6 forum. i just went past 250 miles on it and i think i'm starting to get used to it... it's a little more noticeable than my m3, as it were... might have something to do with literally sitting on top of the motor.
