Re: civic wont start
first off the main engine relay only went bad on the early 90's accords and that was only when they got hot we need to know what happens on the rest if its just one click its you starter if thats the case hold the key as if you were starting it and just tap on it with a hammer and it should free the gears up just so you can move it around and i can tell you right now that its not the distributor cause it would just crank crank crank but if it does that then that may be it orrrrr... it could be fuel related you could have a pin hole in a line the pump could be going out anything it all dpeneds on what you wanna do with it

Re: civic wont start
Ok like they said you need to give us info on what EXACTLY it does when you put the key in and turn it BUT the main thing people forget to connect is the ground that is close to the thermostat housing. It should have a wire ground that is on a 10mm bolt and that is for the ecu so you must have it grounded. If not try the tranny ground like previously stated but that shouldn't be your problem. If it isn't that then try ^^ aboves statement with tapping the starter maybe that is locked up.
If that doesn't fix it answer these questions.
Do the dash lights come on?
Do you hear the chime when you turn the key like normal?
Do you hear the starter try to engage but not crank over?
Does it try to start at all? (I think you already answered but specify)
If the dash lights do come on are they dim?
does the radio and all exterior lights work?
Anything and everything you can think of let us know so we can try to help out better.
