Default help 89 civic wont start

1989 honda civic hb 1.5 litre 4 speed stick 120k miles
Car has been shuttering pretty bad in 1st and 2nd, but still seemed to run pretty decent. Drove home last nite, and shut her off. Woke up this morning and it won't start. The main relay is less than 6 months old, and i can smell gas when i try to start it. Also i can feel and hear the fuel pump turn on. So that leaves me to beleive its the distributor?? Please chime in if you have any ideas.

Do you hear any clicking?

Get a voltmeter and check your ground wires and battery voltage.
