b series wont rev past 4000

Re: b series wont rev past 4000
you need to get the vacuum lines fixed. If i read correctly, about 6 posts up you said the EVAP canister wasn't even hooked up. If you're having trouble with the vacuum lines, there SHOULD be a chart on the underside of your hood, that shows where each line runs to. Don't want all those fumes in your engine compartment, or even in your car. If you have a Haynes manual, that will show them too. Also, replace your ECT sensor and thoroughly bleed your cooling system. To do so, pull your car on ramps to elevate the front end. Loosen the bleeder on the water neck, and add coolant until it comes out of the hole on the bleeder. Then, tighten down the bleeder screw and run the engine at idle with the Radiator cap off, for about 3 fan cycles. that should help with your idle also, if there was air in the coolant line to the IAC or Fast Idle valve. If that does not fix it, you're most likely looking at an IAC valve or your Fast Idle Thermo Valve. Both on the TB.

it is hooked up...im guessing its bad. thats just the code. the wiring is all fine. im not thinking its anything to do with the evap system.....thats just a emissions thing. wouldnt matter. i dont even have it im my ser anymore. now the coolant temp sensor, if thats not reading right, for whatever reason, it would make sense that it would have issues.....the ecu will think the motors still cold, and be dumping extra fuel like it does when its cold. im going to hope this is the problem. it is the ONLY code i have.

That should be you main focus at this point to get a working temp sensor in there. Then clear the code out of the ECU and then let us know what happens.

just throwing out there but heres some stuff that you might find helpful:
-Check if you dont have the MAP sensor and the TPS sensor backwards
-Check firing order
-Distributor cap and rotor
-Spark plugs
-Check if you have the correct order of the injector plugs(ob1 would be brown 1, red 2, blue 3 and yellow 4)
-On the pictures I cant tell if the distributor is OBD1 converted to OBD2 check your conversion if so!
